Dr Werner Slabbert co-founded Sussex Implant Centre and Advanced dentistry in 2017 with his father Dr Dirk Slabbert. Dr Werner has a passion for Advanced dentistry and in particular Implantology, Oral Surgery and Sedation. He has extensive experience in difficult extractions and implants and regularly accepts referrals from other dentists. He has completed Oral surgery training to Specialist level.

Dr Werner believes experience should be backed up with sound knowledge and has always strived for the highest recognition for his skills. After completing a pre-med degree in Belgium he qualified as a Dental surgeon from the University of Stellenbosch-Western Cape South Africa in 2005. In 2007 he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology Cum Laude and moved to Australia. He worked in Outback Australia for 3 years and then moved to Sydney to join a private practice. In 2012 he gained full registration with the UK General Dental Council through examination. Since then, he has achieved the prestigious Membership of The Joint Dental faculties from the Royal College Surgeons England. Werner completed Master of Clinical Dentistry in Oral Surgery from Bart’s at the London Medical and Dental School with Merit in 2014. He also completed a Post graduate diploma in Conscious Sedation at King’s College London.

He has presented at International conferences and published in peer review journals and been featured in dental magazines. His log shows over 20 000 extractions and over 2000 implants placed.

When not busy with dentistry, Werner enjoys piloting private aeroplanes and spending time with his wife and three children.

Nikoletta Kafantari was selected in the MSc programme of Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute University London in 2010, and whilst being the youngest candidate she completed it with distinction.

Nikoletta has gained clinical experience in the past in Private practices both in Greece and in UK and has participated in research programmes regarding new advances in Endodontics in Universities in both countries. Her specific interest has been the identification of the factors associated with weakening of teeth as a result of endodontic treatment.

Presently, Nikoletta is based in Shoreham-by-sea and is working as an Endodontist in private practices across Sussex.

Nikoletta has gained the required experience to analyse endodontic problems, discuss available options and select the appropriate treatment for each patient. She can systematically plan the management of an endodontic problem and has the clinical and surgical skills to execute it with a high degree of competence.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor sports.

Adam qualified from King's College London dental school in 2014. He also has a degree in medical biochemistry from King's College London. Adam has undertaken further training in maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics and achieved his 2 year diploma in orthodontics in 2023. He enjoys getting to know his patients and helping people achieve beautiful smiles. During his free time, he enjoys running, cycling and spending time with his two children.

Rex is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. His career spans General Practice and full-time Hospital Anaesthetics. Rex has provided anaesthetics and sedation in dental surgeries for over forty years, bringing a wealth of experience.

Rex has worked for over 20 years with the Slabbert dentist family. Rex has a gentle caring manner which is very reassuring for patients who are nervous of dental treatments and who can benefit from intravenous sedation.

Away from the practice, Rex is a keen sportsman having played rugby at the county level, team squash and tennis. Nowadays, Rex spends time with his family, plays a more sedate game of tennis and enjoys riding his electric mountain bike on the Downs.

Mandy joined our team in June 2022 having previously worked as a Legal & Medical Secretary. Mandy has created a warm and patient-orientated environment and she is well liked by all our patients and staff due to her friendly and caring nature. She likes to go the extra mile to ensure patients have a positive experience the minute they walk through the door. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, walking the family dog and fish keeping.

Sintiche joined our team in 2019. She has over 15 years experience in the Health Care sector, working both in Private Health and NHS. Sintiche prides herself in understanding how to ensure a great patient journey and that our patients’ needs are listened to and met by our caring team. She very much enjoys all aspects of customer care and working closely with all of our team members to keep everyone happy and motivated. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, going for walks in the beautiful English countryside & gardening.
