What to expect during my treatment
- Treatment with aligners ranges from 6 months to 24 months depending on your case.
- All new patients will first need a comprehensive dental exam prior to starting aligner treatment. The purpose of this exam is to ensure that you are suitable for this type of treatment.
- During your first aligner clinical visit, an intraoral digital scan of your teeth will be taken. The scan and all photos & X-rays (taken during the comprehensive exam) are used to create a bespoke plan for your teeth & to design clear (invisible) aligners.
- The plan will include an advanced smile simulation to give you a good indication of what to expect once treatment is finished.
- Once you have approved the simulation and plan, you will attend monthly visits of 30 mins each until the end of your treatment period.
- During the monthly visits, your progress will be monitored and you will receive the next sequential aligner.
